An independent US medical practice: 148% more Google search clicks
During an ongoing SEO engagement, one practice website recorded approximately 148% more clicks from Google Search in a 28-day period than in an earlier 28-day period: about two and a half times as many.
The work covered search analysis, selected page improvements and a website hosting migration. This case study reports the site's observed search performance during the engagement. It does not isolate the effect of any single change.

The work
Use search data to choose priorities. I reviewed which pages and searches were bringing people to the site and distinguished branded searches, relevant health information and broader topics. This helped decide which content deserved further attention.
Work on existing pages. The engagement included on-page updates and technical checks, with priorities revisited as new search data became available.
Move the existing website to new hosting. I handled the migration, retained the page-address structure, carried across existing redirects and checked the sitemap and published pages. Follow-up work included checks and fixes to the routes visitors used to reach the booking process.
Maintain the publishing process. I set up the process for adding articles, updating the blog listing and sitemap, and publishing changes on the migrated site.
What Google Search Console recorded
The chart shows Google Search clicks as an index: the daily average of the first 28 days equals 100, and the line is a 7-day average. Absolute figures and calendar dates are omitted to keep the practice anonymous.
| Metric | First 28 days | Last 28 days | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Search clicks, indexed | 100 | 248 | +148% |
| Google Search impressions, indexed | 100 | 177 | +77% |
The two periods each cover 28 days and sit about 11 weeks apart in 2026. The increase in clicks is 147.9%, rounded to 148% in the headline.

What these figures tell us
The website received more clicks from Google Search in the later period. These figures do not measure unique visitors, qualified inquiries, patient bookings or revenue. Paid advertising results are not included in the Google Search Console figures.
Search demand, changes in Google results and other activity can also influence performance. This comparison is an observation from one website, not a forecast of what another practice will achieve.
The practice's name, websites and identifying details are omitted.
